As we worked closely with our clients, we realized successful projects begin long before construction starts—requiring support with planning, design, financing, and finding the right property.
Today, we offer a fully integrated, in-house team including architects, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers, along with certified realtors and commercial loan advisors. What started in Calgary has grown, and we are now expanding our services to support businesses across Canada.

Tanisha Singh, Founder / COO

Tanisha Singh is the Chief Operating Officer at Outlandish Developments Inc., and a co-founderand Principal Designer at Outlandish Design Inc., a Calgary-based design and build consultancy established in 2016. With a background in architecture and sustainable design, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, a postgraduate specialization in Green Architecture, a Diploma in Interior Design, and is a LEED Green Associate. She also holds a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Waterloo and a Certification in Walkable Cities from Harvard University, reflecting her strong interest in urban design and sustainable communities. With over a decade of experience, Tanisha has worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and institutional projects, including airports, healthcare spaces, and commercial interiors. She has a strong interest in construction and the design-build process, focusing on translating thoughtful design concepts into practical, well-executed built environments. Known for her collaborative approach and technical expertise, she is passionate about creating functional, sustainable spaces and actively contributes to the community through her role on the City of Calgary’s Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.

Ximena Herrera is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at Outlandish Developments Inc. She is also the Director and Principal Designer at Outlandish Design Inc., bringing over 25 years of experience in architectural design, technical documentation, and construction coordination.
A LEED-accredited professional, she combines strong technical knowledge with a sharp eye for detail to ensure projects are both visually refined and highly functional. With extensive experience in permit drawings, construction documentation, and project management, Ximena plays a key role in guiding projects from concept through construction. Her deep understanding of building systems and construction processes allows her to bridge design and execution, helping deliver well-coordinated, high-quality spaces for residential and commercial clients..
Balraj Nijjar , CFO
M.Sc, PGDECom, Certified Commercial Loan & Construction Manager
Balraj Nijjar is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer at Outlandish Developments. He is also a senior mortgage advisor specializing in residential, commercial, and construction financing, with extensive experience supporting real estate development projects across Alberta.
With over 10 years of experience in the construction industry and 11 years working in management roles with the City of Calgary, Balraj brings strong insight into both the financial and operational sides of development. Holding a Certification in Construction Management, he helps homeowners, investors, and developers secure strategic financing for custom homes, commercial projects, and multi-unit developments, guiding clients from planning to successful project completion.
